The United Taekwon-do Association of Kerala (UTAK) has once again solidified its position as a powerhouse in the national martial arts arena. At the 2026 National Taekwon-do Championships held this past weekend, the UTAK elite squad secured a historic haul of medals, including three gold and two silver trophies.
The competition, which drew over 1,500 participants from across the country, tested the technical proficiency and physical endurance of our athletes. The UTAK team displayed remarkable composure, particularly in the high-stakes sparring divisions where tactical execution proved to be the deciding factor in the final rounds.
“This victory is a testament to the rigorous scientific training methods we've implemented this year. Our students didn't just fight; they practiced the philosophy of the Do with every movement.”
— Master Abdurahiman, Chief Instructor
Preparation for this event began six months ago at our state-of-the-art facility. The training regimen focused on high-intensity interval training (HIIT) paired with traditional ITF patterns, ensuring that every athlete was peak-conditioned for the grueling three-day schedule.
